Georgia Online IEP (GO-IEP) is an extension of the Statewide Longitudinal Data System, or SLDS, which is designed to help teachers make informed decisions to improve student learning.
SLDS provides an electronic permanent record for each of your students. Transfer student data is available the morning after the student is claimed and added to your schedule. Basic educational information, such as overall attendance record, overall assessment scores, individual student profiles, individual enrollment history, individual attendance history, and individual assessment scores, are collected and available to you
GO-IEP is accessed through your local SIS based upon the SLDS role assigned to each person. Three user roles are available -- System Administrator, School Administrator, and Teacher. A user with the System Administrator role can view all records in a single school district; a user with a school administrator role can view all students within a school; a user with a teacher role can view all students enrolled in their classes.
GO-IEP provides two types of roles -- IEP Administrator and IEP user. A person assigned the IEP Administrator role can give permissions to other users and view all students in either a district or a school. A person assigned the IEP User role can view students on their caseloads.
Normally, an SLDS user will not see the GO-IEP icon on the SLDS application. To enable the icon to appear, four new roles must be added to your SIS and assigned to users of GO-IEP.
IEPDA: A district administrator. Will be able to view and edit all SWD IEPs and assign privileges to others in the district.
IEPD: Will be able to see all completed IEPs in a district and (eventually) run reports.
IEPS: A school administrator. The IEPDA will assign admin duties to one or more IEPS per school. They will be able to view and edit all students in a school
IEPT: A teacher. The School Admin can assign a caseload to the teacher. A teacher will view only those students they are connected to through a course or an IEP Team.
If a person is not a teacher (such as a contract OT), they can be given a role in SIS and assigned a "00" course - then assign their students to this course. This will allow the person to be assigned an IEPS or IEPT role and give them access to GO-IEP.
