Track Reported Data 

The results are reported inside the Post School Outcomes dashboard. After data are submitted, the dashboard will display Indicator 14 data, the Response Rate, and High School Exiters Post-School Outcomes activities for exiters.

How can this data be used? 

The first step to improving your Post-School Outcomes is analyzing your data.  


  • Are your students dropping out? Who is dropping out and why? 
  • At what age? How many credits short are your dropouts? 
  • Do you have an equity issue based on race, gender, ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status? 
  • What do you offer in the way of transition services to students? Is there any community business that you can partner with or another district in your area? Are parents and students accessing community resources? Are you gaining the most from your partnerships with Vocational Rehabilitation? High School, High Tech? 
  • Do students know and have access to alternative high school diplomas? SB2, Completion schools and … 
  • Are you identifying students who are at risk of dropping out?  
  • What placements are students dropping out from? Alternative school, inclusion, resource, self-contained 
  • Do you have any resources that students could benefit from? Are parents aware of community resources, even ones that are in the next community over? 
  • Do you have any policies, procedures or practices that are preventing students from engaging in classes with their peers, CTAE courses, college courses? 

 

After determining your strengths and weaknesses, develop a plan. It may involve your local community, professional learning for teachers, parents and students, or additional program planning. Think about which populations are not connected with opportunities- high incidents or low incidents?
