CTI Examples for Services
- Sam is a student with a disability in a Construction class (CTAE). He will receive CTI services on a consultative basis from the CTI Coordinator.
- Sam is a student with a disability who is leaving school the last period of the day to participate in CTI Work Based Learning supervised by the CTI Coordinator.
- Sam is a student with a disability who is leaving school the last period of the day to participate in CTI Work Based Learning and receiving support daily from a job coach in the work environment.
- Sam is a student with a disability who is taking a Construction class (CTAE) and a Business class (CTAE). He will receive CTI services for each class on a consultative basis from the CTI Coordinator.
- Sam is a student with a disability who is taking Career Technical Instruction I, course number 32.01100. This is a separate class. All students in the class are students with disabilities being taught by a CTI Coordinator.
- Sam is a student with a disability who is taking a Construction class. A Parapro will deliver supportive CTI services 45 minutes per week.
For the content area:
- If the vocational class is a course at your school- use vocational
- If it is supervised work at a work site- use Career Technical Instruction Work-Based Learning (only available OUT of general ed)
- For some students, it would be appropriate to use Community- Based Instruction (only available Out of general ed).
