Present levels of Academic Achievement
In GO-IEP this section of the IEP is called the Academic and Functional Areas Assessed. Present Levels of Performance is the section in which all current assessment information should be entered. It is appropriate to list areas of weakness for the student and important background information. All areas of weakness should be discussed even if services for that weakness are not anticipated.
Present level content with results of most recent assessments AND a description of needs are grouped under the content heading.
- Include information from the latest evaluation reports within the present level, potentially under the Cognitive heading.
- Psychological Evaluation information used to support eligibility in the current area(s) of disability should be included.
- Do not use only a list of scores. The data should be summarized and interpreted.
- If data collection is selected as a source, additional details as to what and how the data was collected would be beneficial.
- All aspects should be addressed as it applies to a student.
You do not have to include results of state-mandated assessments (if those assessments were done in Georgia) as those will automatically be included in the printed document/PDF.
Sub test scores will automatically print, but in the present levels it would be helpful to interpret and drill down the specific weaknesses.
For out of state transfers- discuss any available out of state testing results in the PLAAFP under each appropriate category. If you did not receive any results from the transfer state, indicate that no test results were available with transfer documents in each area.
If local assessments/ screenings are conducted on all students, the results from those should be summarized in the applicable area.
